This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) defines the acceptable use of SkulByte services. All users must comply with this policy to maintain a secure and reliable environment for everyone.

2. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Hosting content that violates any applicable laws
  • Child exploitation material (zero tolerance)
  • Counterfeit goods or services
  • Fraud, scams, or deceptive practices
  • Drug trafficking or illegal substances

2.2 Network Abuse

  • DDoS attacks or participation in botnets
  • Port scanning or network probing
  • IP spoofing or hijacking
  • Unauthorized access attempts
  • Traffic manipulation or interception

2.3 Email & Communication Abuse

  • Spam or bulk unsolicited email
  • Phishing or social engineering attacks
  • Email bombing or mail server abuse
  • Forging email headers or identities

2.4 Resource Abuse

  • Cryptocurrency mining without authorization
  • Running resource-intensive processes that impact others
  • Hosting proxy or VPN services for abuse
  • Operating Tor exit nodes

2.5 Content Restrictions

  • Malware, viruses, or malicious software distribution
  • Pirated software, movies, music, or other copyrighted material
  • Hate speech or content promoting violence
  • Adult content on standard hosting plans

3. Security Requirements

Users are responsible for:

  • Keeping all software updated and patched
  • Using strong, unique passwords
  • Implementing proper firewall rules
  • Securing web applications against common vulnerabilities
  • Monitoring for unauthorized access

4. Resource Limits

Fair use guidelines:

  • CPU usage should not exceed plan limits consistently
  • Bandwidth must be used for legitimate traffic only
  • Storage cannot be used for file distribution services
  • Concurrent connections should remain within reasonable limits

5. Reporting Abuse

If you discover abuse originating from our network, please report it to [email protected]. Include relevant details such as IP addresses, timestamps, and log evidence.

6. Enforcement

Violations may result in:

  • Warning and request for remediation
  • Temporary service suspension
  • Permanent account termination
  • Legal action where appropriate
  • Reporting to relevant authorities

Severe violations (illegal content, attacks) result in immediate suspension without prior notice.

7. DMCA Policy

We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Copyright holders can submit takedown notices to [email protected]. We will process valid requests within 24 hours.

8. Customer Responsibility

Account holders are responsible for all activity under their account, including actions by third parties with access to their services. If your server is compromised, you must address the issue promptly.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this AUP periodically. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes. Major changes will be communicated via email.
