Start with what the site has to do
Sites with the same number of pages can be very different work.
- A business card with an address, opening hours and a call button takes little.
- A site with a quote route needs copy, a form and follow-up.
- Bookings, payments or a second language make the work bigger.
- Leave out of the first version what can wait. That sharpens the price.
Building it yourself with a builder
You make a site yourself with a website builder. The subscription is low.
- Good enough for an address, opening hours and a phone number.
- You write the copy, pick the photos and keep it up to date.
- Help and custom work are limited.

What sets the price
Ask every agency what work sits behind the price.
- Content: who writes and translates the copy, and who supplies the photos?
- Design: an existing pattern, or a design built around your content?
- Features: forms, bookings, payments and links to your own systems.
- Delivery: accessibility, checks on phones, feedback rounds and moving an old site.
- Handover: whose name are the accounts in, and do you get guidance?
Compare briefs, not prices
Budget for the first year
Count the build and the running costs apart first, then together.
- The build, one-off: for example Website Groei for €3,950€4,779.50 excl. 21% VAT.
- Care Basic, for updates, back-ups and monitoring: €95€114.95 a month excl. 21% VAT.
- Care Plus, with small changes: €195€235.95 a month excl. 21% VAT.
- A domain name and hosting: who pays which provider?
- Other subscriptions, such as a booking system or a payment service.
- Room for planned changes after launch.
Code, domain and accounts in your name from day one. Leave whenever you want and take everything with you.
Subscriptions can be cancelled monthly after any stated minimum term.
When a subscription ends
Put the agreement in writing
Write down what you get, how you approve it and what a change costs.
- What is in the price, and what is not?
- Is everything in my name?
- What does a change after launch cost?
- Does a change get a price and a schedule first, and only then work?
A fixed price per phase. Extra work only with your written approval.
